my husban made this dip and it was great only thing I will do differently when I make it is to add tomamatoes cilittro and Lemon jiice and some diced garlic fresh it was the bomb everyone loved it TY so much for the recipes I use them all the time!

Thanks, but to me the Jalapeno ruins it. I prefer to use squirts of bottled Louisiana Hot Sauce. One squirt per avocado and one for the bowl. Then a little minced garlic is also good.

We love avacados. I have a hard time getting them ripe and not having streaks through the fruit, or bruised spots that make the fruit look spoiled. How can I prevent this from happening. I have tried leaving them on the counter in a brown bag and I have tried putting them in the refrigerator in plastic produce bags. Sometimes it works but not always.

Nunca he hecho guacamole pero lo he comido es muy sabroso.En Cuba con tanto aguacate nunca se les a ocurrido hacerlo , claro para eso se necesita un aguacate mazudo y no es fácil encontrarlo los hay muy blando o aguados

Where does the yellow onion go? I think you missed it.. The way it reads is that it looks like the avocado and the sour cream go into the recipe. And then you have another avocado and a cup of sour cream on the side for garnish. That is just for your information because as a professional chef retired I would know how to make that and that the onions would go in before the garlic if you want them cooked. But I like the way your thinking good luck

I like to halve an avocado scoop out a little of the avocado, crack an egg into the hollow and top with crispy bacon & some cheese or whatever toppings I feel like and bake till the white is set and the yolk is still soft. squeeze a little lime juice on and have with a tortilla or biscuit. I use mu 6 cups muffin pan upside down to hold the avocado in place to bake. I like to smear the avocado that I scoop out on the tortilla or biscuit. No waste & delish.
